Anti-Ragging Provisions

Anti-Ragging Provisions on Campus:

As per direction of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of the India, Delhi Vide order No. SPL No. (Civil) 24295 & 24296-99 of dated 10-12-2007 “if any incident of ragging comes to the notice of the authority, the concerned student are given liberty to explain and if his explanation is not found satisfactory, the authority would expel him from the institution.” Hence the students in IEM are advised not to indulge in any act of ragging or subject anyone to ragging.

The Whole Campus has posters for Ragging-Free Zone everywhere. The students are advised sufficiently with Student Notices emphasizing the need to refrain from any kind of ragging.

Anti Ragging Provisions in the Hostels:
The hostels for Returning Students and New Students are in separate buildings/floors so that there remains a zero probability of Ragging on Campus Halls.

The Returning/Senior Students are restricted entry to the Boys Hostel-2 which is exclusively reserved for New Students (boys).

Similarly for Girls Hostel, there are separate floors in the building dedicated for Returning Students and New Students with separate staircases. During the start of the new Academic Session there are members of Staff on duty in each hostel on rota in order to make the new students feel comfortable to the new campus surroundings. However in cases of any dire Emergency/Urgency the Hostel Wardens or the Head of the Institution residing on campus are always approachable.
